“We the people.”  The first three words of the Preamble to the Arizona Constitution capture the essence of civic engagement.
Civic engagement seeks to connect “we the people” with the governments and institutions we created and also with each other.

Engaging Arizona

Welcome to the Arizona Town Hall’s Engaging Arizona portal site.  This new resource was developed as part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration and a special campaign utilizing the ideas and recommendations from the 100th Town Hall on the topic of Civic Engagement

As we look to our next 50 years, we seek to inspire even more people to consider the research and recommendations put forward from each Town Hall starting with the ideas and solutions on Civic Engagement.  Your visit here means you’re ready to tap into resources and information that will help YOU shape the state that you live, work, build businesses in and raise a family.  We hope you tell others about it and utilize it over and over while embracing the core concepts of the 50 year strong Arizona Town Hall organization – studying a topic in-depth, engaging a vibrant cross-section of Arizonans, exchanging ideas and insights with others who may have differing viewpoints, learning the art of compromise, civil discourse and consensus dialogue – and then, taking action.

After our 50th celebration is over, check back. We’ll have more on each of the specific topics Town Hall has and will be covering.  Engaging Arizona – it starts with you!
