Civic Engagement

April 22-25, 2012

The 100th Arizona Town Hall on Civic Engagement will take place in Tucson.

Overview

Date & Attendance Requirements:  April 22-25.   Attendees must block out on their calendars the entire period from Sunday evening to midday Wednesday.  Active participation by each participant throughout the entire process is essential. The concluding plenary session on Wednesday morning is a critical phase of the Town Hall process during which the participants finalize their report and recommendations.  This session should end by 12:30 p.m.  However, it has occasionally gone beyond that time.

Cost:  In addition to the costs of your meals and lodging during the Town Hall (approximately $800), there is a registration fee of $255 for individuals who are current Arizona Town Hall members, and $355 for non-members.

Registration: Online registration will be available soon.

Activities:  Participants spend the bulk of their time participating in facilitated discussions designed to build consensus for future action.  During meal breaks, participants will hear from nationally- recognized speakers on the issues being debated.

Monday's lunch speaker is Christopher T. Gates, Executive Director PACE-Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement.
