Improving Health Care in Arizona
Grand CanyonArizona Leaders to Discuss Town Hall Recommendations

A discussion with Arizona leaders and a presentation by Dr. Edward "Ted" Shortliffe, dean of the new Phoenix College of Medicine, will inaugurate the Shirley Agnos Arizona Town Hall Lecture series, sponsored by the state's three universities.

The September 20 event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the College of Medicine Campus (Building 2), 600 E. Van Buren, in downtown Phoenix.  Jose Cardenas will moderate a panel discussion with Sen. Tim Bee, Betsey Bayless, January Contreras and Sandy Gibson. The panel discussion will be followed by Dr. Shortliffe's presentation with introductions by Phoenix Mayor Phil Gorden and University of Arizona President Robert Shelton.  Seating is limited; please RSVP by e-mail to presrsvp@email.arizona.edu or by calling 520-621-1438.

To join the conversations underway throughout the state on the recommendations of the 90th Town Hall, attend one of the post Town Hall programs. Details on Post Town Hall programs are posted at www.aztownhall.org.  These interactive and informative meetings build on the Town Hall recommendations and provide opportunities to get involved in improving health care in our state.  Call the Arizona Town Hall office at 602-252-9600 for reservations.
